USA economic strategy

as we all know the financial tsunami many countried are affected
not only hongkong, china but also USA
USA has competitive but how to keep it strong?
now the U.S. election just days away
everyone will take much of wt the nest President must do to keep America competitive
during this crisis, Washington has focused on the immediate and the short term
do u know, there r some basic questions we really need to worry about:
1. What is the fundamental competitive position of the U.S. in the global economy?
2. What must we do to remain strong when other nations are making rapid progress?
i think USA need to hv an economic strategy to deal wif above problem, n keep the comptitive
in fact, there is no LT economic strategy in USA
n no coherent set of policies to ensure competitiveness over the long haul

strategy embodies clear priorities, based on understanding the strengths we need to preserve
n the weaknesses that threaten our prosperity the most

its similar to a model which i hv learnt in maketing - SWOT
n strategy will pt out wt to do n wt not do to
in dealing wif a crisis, experience teaches us that steps to address the immediate
problem must support a long-term strategy
thus, its essential to USA to hv a LT economic strategy
saving that, USA hvnt a LT economic strategy affect her competitive
also, the national purchasing behaviors, y?

i think its better to discuss next time
